STATEMENT OF FAITH

  1. We believe the Holy Bible, to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God.

  2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  3. We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.

  4. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential, and that this salvation is received through faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and not as a result of good works.

  5. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life and to perform good works.

  6. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.

  7. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our History

In 1987, a handful of concerned citizens formed group called Clarion County Life to provide the community options and alternatives to abortion.  Roots were put down on 611 Main Street, registered as a non-profit 501(c)3 operating as AAA Pregnancy Center (Agency for Alternatives to Abortion).   At that time providing a self-administered pregnancy test was a valuable tool.  Along with information about fetal development, abortion risks, parenting, and adoption, material assistance was added to these services.

Since 1988 AAA Pregnancy Center has been replanted three times, first to the old Clarion Hospital on 7th Avenue, then a move to 721 Wood Street, before finally landing on the chance to purchase property on 140 Greenville Avenue.  With each move there was more growth, and growth requires change.  In 2004 the organization changed its name to AAA Life Services in order to more clearly convey to our community that our organization values the individual person; pre-born, children, moms, dads, and family.  Over the last 3 decades we have offered outreach to a wide range within our area; Clarion University, schools, churches, community centers/organizations, and prisons.

In 2001 Next Step Choices Program began taking a message of character development and sexual risk avoidance instruction into Clarion and surrounding county elementary and high schools. Discussing valuable information about the importance and benefits of abstinence, in addition to promoting healthy relationships, setting boundaries, and education regarding teen pregnancy and STI’s.

Our BrightCourse Learn to Earn program has been helpful to serve women. With options for (evidence based) education and information on pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, infant care, toddlers, coparenting and a number of other life topics this program is designed with an incentive based learning model.  Accountability to the learning process but also to help individuals get involved with other resources, churches and agencies to help them launch into thriving as a parent and individual.  Breaking Free, a similar program is specific to women with past hurts, sexual trauma and/or abortion.

We continue to seek ways to better engage the community and raise awareness about our services.
